As part of its expansion plan Royal Air Maroc is proud to announce the launch of a new route between Manchester and Casablanca.
From Tuesday 28 March, the Moroccan flag-carrier will begin operating direct non-stop flights three times per week from Manchester Airport to Mohammed V International Airport. The service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This exciting launch sees Manchester Airport become only the third UK airport to operate flights to Casablanca with Royal Air Maroc, with the airline also currently running services from London Gatwick and London Heathrow.
The new service will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with both business and economy class seating available. The scheduled flight time is approximately three hours and twenty minutes.
As well as offering direct flights from Manchester to Casablanca, Royal Air Maroc new service opens the door for connections to 33 African destinations. Key connections through Casablanca, the second-largest hub to Africa, include Lagos, Abidjan, Accra, Nairobi and Banjul.
Thanks to its strategic hub in Casablanca Royal Air Maroc is constantly strengthening its ties with the African continent. Its presence in Africa is the natural link and its success, amongst others is the result of its African identity. We can truly say that Morocco is “Where Africa begins”.
Over the years Royal Air Maroc has grown a network of 92 destinations in four continents, bringing Africa closer to the rest of the world. 77 destinations are international with regular flights from the major European cities, North & South America, Africa, the Maghreb and the Middle East.
Unlike its early beginnings when the company used to target the leisure market, today’s focus is on business and ethnic traffic. Nearly 6 decades serving cities in Africa and as the leading carrier to West Africa with 32 direct flights from Casablanca, Royal Air Maroc can be proudly named “The Wings of Africa”.
Royal Air Maroc continued their run of success by winning The Best Regional Airline to Africa award for the third year. The company received the award for 2014, 1015 and 2016 at the annual Skytrax world airline award held during the Farnborough airshow. It is a deep and fitting tribute to achievement and dedication. It is also an inspiration to strive for better. To be voted by travellers Best Regional Airline to Africa is a public acknowledgement of excellence and an accolade of the highest honour.
