From the 30th of November 2018, an updated EU Air Safety List will come into play.
Individuals planning to fly outside of the EU should be aware of the EU Air Safety List, which provides an inventory of airlines who are unable to meet international aviation safety standards or implement the necessary procedures to comply to these. Subsequently, most of these airlines are banned from operating in the EU; those allowed may only do so under strict conditions.
Since the Air Safety List was last updated in June 2018, two new airlines have been added to the list, while seven have been removed as they are no longer allowed to operate aircraft for commercial use. This brings the list to a total of 115 airlines.
If you are travelling outside of the EU, it is highly recommended that you read the list to ensure your own safety. You can access it here.
