Hotel sustainability scores - helping you book with the planet in mind
We’ve made it easier to make sustainable choices when booking accommodation. Now, when you search for hotels, you’ll see a Sustainability Score (1–100), where available - powered by Thrust Carbon’s Hotel Sustainability Index.
These scores are based on a hotel’s:
- Carbon footprint
- ESG commitments
- Building certifications
- Environmental practices like:
- Net zero targets
- Renewable energy use
- Plastic reduction
- Recycling, plant-based menus, and more
Launched on 2nd June, this feature is available to all customers.
Introducing leg-based flight search: More flexibility, more choice
Starting at the end of June, all accounts will gain access to our latest enhancement, leg-based flight search. This new functionality allows bookers to mix and match fare categories within a class and combine different fare classes, offering unparalleled flexibility in booking.
Developed in response to client feedback, this feature streamlines flight searches, providing expanded options for combining airlines and optimising travel preferences. Whether prioritising cost, comfort, or schedule, travellers can now customise their journey with greater ease and efficiency.
Get notified when a lower carbon rail alternative is available
We’re helping you make more sustainable travel choices, without slowing you down. When searching selected flight routes, you’ll now see a notification if a rail alternative with lower CO₂ emissions is available. Simply click the link, and you’ll be redirected to a pre-filled rail search with matching results, ready to book thus allowing you to:
- Instantly compare flight vs rail
- Lower your travel carbon footprint
- Add rail options directly to your basket
- Return to your original flight search anytime

Pre-approval workflow: Enhancing duty of care and travel risk management
